Slow growth. Faster paperwork.
We’re a small dealer doing a thing larger ones could but mostly don’t — accounting for every piece on the bench like it’s about to be photographed for a Phillips catalogue.
From a private collection to a public desk.
Calibre & Co started in 2019 as a personal archive — three friends, an obsession with case backs, and a back office in DIFC. Friends began asking us to find pieces for them. The find rate was good enough, and the paperwork tight enough, that the friends-of-friends started calling.
By 2022 we were sourcing for collectors across the Gulf, Europe and South Asia, and had earned a reputation for the boring stuff — service histories that traced, papers that matched, lume that aged the way the year said it should.
We remain deliberately small. Every watch crosses one of two desks before it goes anywhere near a client. We’d rather catalogue a hundred pieces well than a thousand in passing.
To make pre-owned feel as safe as new.
The pre-owned market runs on assumptions: that the piece is right, that the seller is honest, that the price is fair. We replace each one with a document, a receipt, or an independent name on a service record. Boring, important, and what the category has needed for longer than we’ve been in it.
What sets us apart, in practice.
Every piece is signed off by two independent watchmakers before listing.
No client buys a watch one person has checked. The second pair of eyes is salaried, not commissioned — they have no incentive to wave anything through.
We do active sourcing — not just publishing what walks in the door.
Tell us the reference and the dial variant. We work the brief through estate channels, dealer networks and private collections until we find the right one.
Seven days to live with the piece. Full refund if it doesn’t sit right.
We’d rather take a watch back than have a regretful collector. The policy is short, written down, and applies whether you bought online or in person.
We’d like to meet you.
Start a conversation, drop by the DIFC office, or send us the reference you’ve been hunting. We’re here.
